There is a wide range of orientation camps that you may consider joining. You should make new friends, understand more about HKUST and help adapt to the University life and culture.
Hall O'Camp (FYE Orientation)
The Hall O' Camp is a first, important and fun activity on Aug 18 to 19 for all new students joining the year long First Year Experience (FYE) @Residence Program. It is a two-day one-night camp led by Professors/Residence Masters (RMs), senior undergraduate student mentors (SUGs) and SHRL officers. Students from local HK, mainland China and overseas will be living at the Residence Halls and having fun and inspiring activities on and off campus. It's free for FYE participants.
Student-led O' Camps
Student-led O' Camps, Student Orientation Camps or O'camps are to be held from Aug 11 to 24. They are organized by HKUST students from Student Union, Student Societies and student groups.
Explore the Unexplored (Language Day Camp)
Explore the Unexplored is a one-day orientation event on Aug 26 organized by the Center for Language Education for all HKUST students. First priority will be given to the students entering HKUST in September 2017.
