@Connect Service

The University provides @Connect – Students’ Lifetime Email Service to students based on Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud solution.

The @Connect service offers students a set of collaboration tools including email, calendaring, document authoring and other social networking functions. The @Connect service will be retained even after your graduation.

Before you can start using this service, you must activate your ITSC network account.

Email addresses are in the following format

Undergraduate / Postgraduate
<ITSC Network Account>@connect.ust.hk

Outlook Web App

Outlook Web App is recommended to access your email and collaborating tools from any computer with an Internet connection. Simply clicking http://O365.ust.hk in your browser. Please also refer to Using Outlook Web App with 2FA.

Other Ways to Access your Email

Apart from using the Outlook Web App, you can access to your mailboxes using email clients like Microsoft Outlook or your mobile device. In most cases, you can just enter the @Connect account and the client will be automatically configured for you. If manual configuration is required, please select either Exchange or Office 365 as the account type and follow instruction to input the account credential.

For mobile users, it is recommended for you to select the account type Microsoft Active Sync / Microsoft Exchange or Corporate when adding your @Connect account to your mobile device.

Office Installation

Each user can install Office on 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets (Windows, iPad and Android), and 5 phones within their studies in HKUST. For details, please refer to Getting started with OWA and Office 365.
